St David’s stands on the edge of the parish bordering the city centre, ten minutes walk from the cathedral. The present building is a distinguished one by W. D. Caröe, and is now 102 years old. It is of a broad tradition and includes within its congregation a variety of churchmanship. The communicant numbers now average 100 on a Sunday morning, with attendance approximately 140, and a larger number attending the Family Communion once a month. A nave altar and platform were installed 9 years ago, and the Lady Chapel was recently refurbished with chairs and fitted carpet. A completely new lighting system designed to complement the building was installed 3 years ago.
